This morning you'll depart the UK and head to Zurich by air. On arrival at Zurich airport you'll travel by rail to Chur. This train journey lasts around an hour and a half, skirting the edges of Lakes Zurich and Wellensee before arriving in Chur.
You'll take a short walk from the station to the hotel, enjoying your initial glimpse at life in this enchanting Alpine city. Chur is the oldest city in Switzerland and is quaint, compact and easy to get around.
Today it's all aboard the Glacier Express, also known as 'the slowest express train in the world'.
Your two-hour ride on one of Europe's most iconic trains will take you to St Moritz, over the magnificent Landwasser Viaduct and along the UNESCO Heritage Albula line - an incredible feat of engineering, perfectly framed by the train's large-scale windows.
On arrival in St Moritz you'll have some free time to explore this chic resort town and have some dinner in a local restaurant before retracing your route by regional train and returning to Chur.
You'll have the whole day free today to explore Chur at your own pace.
Your holiday includes a 'Chur Guest Card' which you can use to explore the city by public transport and get discounts on local attractions and museums. Perhaps you'll head to the Graubünden Art Museum, where you can explore a collection of 8,000 pieces of art housed across two historical villas, or the Graubünden Natural History Museum where you'll discover many interesting facts about the flora, fauna and geology of the region.
You'll also have the chance to buy half-price local rail tickets to explore the wider area and perhaps venture out to nearby towns like Davos.
This morning, after a final breakfast, you'll check out of your hotel and start your homeward journey.
You'll begin your journey by rail, gliding back along the edges of Lakes Wellensee and Zurich, with a quick change of trains at Zurich main station, before arriving into the airport at Zurich for your flight home.
