A stay wouldn't be complete without taking a trip across the River Tamar on the historic foot-ferry to the spectacular stately home of Mount Edgcumbe.
The hotel is in the south Devon countryside between Plymouth and Dartmoor National Park.
By car: Boringdon Hall is 50 mins from Exeter, 2 hours 15 mins from Bristol and 4 hours 15 mins from London. There is free parking at the hotel.
